HORSESHOE sculpts a colorful world that is inspired by decaying nostalgia. I pull inspiration from institutions that have gone out of business or lost their purpose, building this world around the decay of those gutted, “liminal” spaces. By toying with playful horror tropes, I wish to bring out the weird beauty, uncanny horror, and everything in between in what’s been left behind. Additionally, I shaped this comic based around a love for drawing, comics, cinema, and video games. An homage of sorts to being raised on the internet.
